City of Richmond Teens - Summer Work Opportunity! Now Hiring: Youth Camp Assistants (Ages 15–17)

Are you a City of Richmond student between the ages of 15–17 looking for a paid summer job?

We’re hiring Youth Camp Assistants to help with our 2025 Summer Camp Program running from June 9th – August 13th, every Monday through Wednesday, 9:45 AM to 1:30 PM.

This is a great opportunity to earn money, gain experience, and serve your community in a fun, supportive environment!

Position Details

• Position: Youth Camp Assistant

• Location: Richmond, VA

• Schedule: Mondays–Wednesdays | 9:45 AM – 1:30 PM

• Dates: June 9 – August 13, 2025

• Pay Rate: $12 per hour

• Weekly Pay

  Duties Include:

  • Checking in campers and recording attendance

  • Serving breakfast and lunch

  • Helping with clean-up and organization

  • Assisting with admin tasks and daily camp needs

    
    

     Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be 15–17 years old

• Must be a City of Richmond Public School student

• Must have good grades (C average or higher in all classes)

• Few or no school absences

• Not currently under any school disciplinary action

• Responsible, respectful, and eager to work with youth

• Must upload most recent report card for verification and to be considered for an interview

Now Hiring: Youth Braiding Camp Assistants – $13/HR

Are you a teen who loves hair, helping others, and being a leader? We’re hiring Youth Braiding Camp Assistants for our exciting Summer Braiding Camp in Richmond, VA!

This is a paid position ($13/hr) for Richmond Public School students ages 17–19 who want to gain work experience, support younger kids, and help run a fun, creative summer camp.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with youth braiding activities and demos

• Help lead small group sessions and guide campers

• Support instructors during hands-on lessons

• Be a positive role model and motivator!

• Able to work Mondays–Wednesdays, 9:45 AM – 1:30 PM, from June 9 – August 13
